Welcome to my razzle-dazzle world of glamorous vintage fashion with a slightly modern twist!

My name is Dominique King but I’m known under the nom de plume Dominique de Merteuil. I’m a vintage fashion and beauty blogger, a guest speaker on the British, American and French fashions popular in the 1930s through the 1950s, and the founder of It’s Beyond My Control, the ultimate guide to vintage fashion. I’m also a daily wearer of authentic vintage raiments that date back to the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s. My credo is that life is too short to wear ordinary clothes!
