The most stylish sneakers that go with everything, regardless if it’s a pair of slacks, shorts or a dress, are the creation of SPITZ. This independent German brand focuses on quality as well as comfort and prides itself on creating sustainable and very feminine footwear. I’m a huge fan of their 1950s inspired saddle shoes, that are in my proud possession and I’m already salivating over a pair of the lilac sneakers from their Original line!
SPITZ sneakers are indubitably the best choice for a woman who values comfort but without wanting to compromise on style!
I have to be honest and admit, that I’ve not owned a pair of sneakers, except for dance sneakers, since I was a little girl. Even at the age of seven, I was already dreaming about a pair of high-heels worthy of Jessica Rabbit. My mom always says that I was born with six-inch shoes attached to me. I’m also the only person she knows who took Manolo Blahnik footwear to the mountains. That’s called dedication, mom!
As I grew older, my collection of beautiful but often hugely uncomfortable high heels grew as well. I simply couldn’t imagine my life without them. I still would be very reluctant to kick off my heels forever but the more I travel the more appreciative I am of flats. It must have been during one of my early trips to Paris when I realised that walking around town on cobblestone, in six-inch heels, was a VERY bad idea. Unless of course, your definition of “walking” around Paris is to stroll from the hotel’s lobby to the car waiting outside.
If you travel as much as I do, I’m sure you can appreciate my appraisal of comfortable footwear. Especially if you are a frequent visitor to cities such as Rome, Venice or Paris. For a few years now I’ve been an addict to elegant ballerina flats and sumptuous velvet slippers. And thanks to the SPITZ brand I’m giving sneakers my nod of approval. The most stylish sneakers from SPITZ, that is, with their very flattering pointed toe, which will never go out of style.
Lena, the co-founder of SPITZ, who took women’s sneakers to a completely new level, had this to say.
The shoe and clothing industry is overfilled, mostly short-lived and often unreflecting, one trend chasing the next. However, what wants to be timeless must be of high-quality. I soon realised that I wanted to have the development and production of this shoe in trusted hands. In a country that stands for the highest quality standards and the superiority of artisan skills. Hand in hand with specialists in mold making, technical shoe- and last making and local rubber chemistry, we reinvented this shoe from the bottom up new. Handmade in Germany.
The result is SPITZ.
The sneaker that truly combines comfort and elegance.
SPITZ brand created the most stylish sneakers that go with everything; from a very casual to a more glamorous look:
- skirt + blouse
In the picture, I’m wearing a 1950s Handmacher skirt, the 1940s inspired blouse I bought from House of Foxy but replaced the modern buttons with Art Deco ones.
- 1940s cocktail dress
For a more glamorous look, perfect for a date with my husband, I paired my gorgeous sneakers with a 1940s dress and early 1960s bag.
