French Sole SS19 collection is finally here!!! I’m very excited to share their latest out-of-this-world image campaign shot by my husband Gregory Michael King.
I’ve been a big fan of the stylish and very comfortable FS flats for a long time now. The Henrietta style, with a sexy toe-cleavage, is one of my favourites, which explains why I have them in abundance. I often pair my French Sole ballet flats with clothes from the 1940s, the 1950s and it’s always a match made in vintage heaven. The other style that I adore is the sophisticated Hefner slippers. They are made of sumptuous velvet, adorned with beautiful embroidery and are my No.1 choice for the evening when I opt for flats instead of high-heels. I think that you all know by now that it’s rather difficult for me to resist velvet shoes. And speaking of other styles that I love, which also come in velvet, let’s not overlook the flirtatious Love Heart flats embellished with glitter! They are the perfect accessory for an all-black ensemble adding just the right amount of sparkle, although these days I find myself in need of a lot of bling. I’m always on the hunt for a dazzling 1930s sequin-blouse or an oversized Art Deco brooch. What can I say, it’s beyond my control.
The French Sole SS19 collection is designed by couturier extraordinaire Veroni Deco and is what any ballet flats aficionado dreams are made of. Veroni is the finalist of this year’s Drapers Footwear Awards in the Footwear Designer of the Year category, and I keep my fingers crossed for her to win as she definitely deserves it. After all, her new designs for French Sole are more than breathtaking.
This is not the only category that French Sole has been nominated in for the most prestigious footwear awards in the UK and Ireland. There is also the Best Footwear Marketing Campaign and International Footwear Business of the Year. The winners will be announced on the 26th of June, so stay tuned.
I could go on for days describing how much and why I love all the shoes from the FS SS19 collection. Instead, I will let the pictures speak for themselves.
The beautiful photographs, of one of my favourite models Karla, were taken by my super talented husband Gregory Michael King. The shoot was styled by Veroni Deco, who used some of her own couture garments, as well as gorgeous custom pieces from 1683 Atelier. Make-up and hair were done by the one and only Patrycja Michera.
